After a hectic 24 hours of sourcing reliable Covid tests and finalising travel arrangements, the commentary duo have successfully landed in Romania for Brave Combat Federation 35 in Bucharest, Romania. This is the first Brave event since January and the longest break the promotion has had between events since its inception in 2016.

Probably the most well-known voice in MMA here in Ireland, O’Keefe had almost accepted defeat and made a post to social media stating that he would not make it over for the event at all. But after some last minute magic he got to join Phil and the rest of the team from Ireland in Bucharest.

Due to the global pandemic, anyone traveling over to the Brave events had to have a Covid-19 test done and results back 4 days before the event date.

As private testing for individuals without symptoms is limited on this island, acquiring such a test and the results before Friday, ahead of a Monday show turned out to be quite a challenge. Luckily, they were able to get their test and the necessary quarantine time done just in time to get the go-ahead to join the rest of the broadcast team ahead of tonight’s show.

Also in Romania for the show is Dec Larkin, a person familiar to those on the MMA circuit here in Ireland and NI and who was appointed as the Head of Regulatory affairs for Brave CF in 2019.
